Documentary Pitch

Dog Strange Behaviour
Story: This is my pitch for the documentary I may make, it would be about dog strange behaviour, I would base it on my Staffordshire Bullterrier who constantly chased her tale from a young puppy, who is now aged four, and managed to catch her tale from chasing it to much, which then drove her to having to have her tail amputated! because she bit it off and it sent her mad! The reason I would pitch my idea on Cora is because the reason for why she did it is still unknown, even though she had to be consulted by a dog psychiatrist, two specialist vets, and be transferred to a animal hospital in milton. She also had a licking problem where she licked the skin off of her paw yet would not stop. It would start that she just chased her tail occasionally as any dog or puppy would, she already had a problem which involved her licking her paw obsessively to the point that she licked all of her paws fur off and caused scratches and grazes to occur in between her paws and underneath on her pads, and no matter how much anyone told her off she wouldn't stop! It got to the point that she would be fine when people were around but as soon as she was left alone for even a second she would start, or she would take herself off to the bottom of the garden purposely just to have ago at her paw. She then started chasing her tail more often playfully as a game when bored, but one day when everyone came in from work and college, the tip of her tail was gone, and there was blood all over the bedroom floor, we rushed her to the vets, which checked her for mange as this is common in Staffordshire Bullterriers, fleas as we have other animals - dogs, cats, chickens etc., and many other skin
conditions that could have caused her to do this, although the vet found nothing and could not understand what had caused her to do this, so they gave her a cone to stop her reaching her tail, and left it to heal, although when she got home, she got worse due to the pain and irritation, she would sit with her cone on which she had to have on because she was still trying to bite more of her tail off, and she would wine for hours, and keep spinning and spinning and spinning, a week later we still kept finding blood on the floor and her hood/cone would still be on her, we found out that she had been hooking the cone on her tail when sitting to keep it still, and carrying all biting her tail off, it got shorter! and she got worse. We went back to the vets that sent her to a vet hospital in cambridge, and they got a dog psychiatrist to look her over, and investigate more into the issue, they kept her records as they were so interested in her because she had no problems just a obsessive compulsive disorder, found in humans where she mentally cannot stop! they ended up amputating her tail so that she has a stump so that she couldn't cause no more harm to herself, they put it down to her self harming herself as a human would, due to the fact that she doesn't like being alone. She now has to have her hood on pretty much permanently at the age of just 4 as she still cannot and won't stop licking her paw and chasing her stump, as she still spins 24/7 and she still licks her foot to the point it cuts, if she doesn't have her hood on, we can only take her hood off if we are watching her, otherwise she starts again.
Narrative: The narrative would include images of Cora and also videos of her spinning and trying to get her tail, I would also involve interviews with the members of the family involved in the situation, and images if i could find any of the damage she caused herself.

Agency: As the agency I would go about this involving one on one interviews and live footage of Cora repeating her actions of self harm constantly over and over again.

OR

Cat gave birth whilst laying on dog

Story:
Our friend found a cat on lakenheath yard-sale that was heavily pregnant, it was an american couple who were selling her, as they were going back to America, but if nobody took her they were going to dump her on the streets, we bought her for a very low amount, they also gave us a cat stand and feeder to go with her, she was only a kitten though, she was seven months old, and due to have her kittens in one month, so she was still very young herself. She wasn't used to dogs so we had to introduce her to them as well, which she soon got used to, she Favorited out border collie x Shepard 'Murphy' 11 years old, all of the animals love him due to his placid relaxed nature. She had her kittens a month later it was the middle of the night and Murphy was asleep at the bottom of the bed, we was all woken by hearing some meowing, and we went into the room he was sleeping,
and Tilly the kitten was laying on top of his belly having her kittens. He layed there with his head up, wide awake, as he doesn't like the cats touching him, although he tolerates them and would not hurt a fly, and will go up to animals if he senses there is a problem, which he obviously sensed something was up as she was right on top if him, and he didn't mind one bit. Two of the kittens were born on his back amongst his fur, she moved to the cupboard for the second two cupboards. Due to her having the kittns so young she never got a chance to experience being a kitten herself and practising hunting, therefore she is now a incredibly clumsy, lazy cat that cannot hunt and does not kill any animals she just watches animals such as mice and butterfly's but she wont hurt them.
Narrative: The narrative would involve the story being told, it would include images of Tilly and her kittens, and images of Murphy, it would also involve pictures of her pregnant when we got her before, and now which is one year down the line, It would involve footage of her climbing along the wall comedic footage and her with Murphy. It would also involve interviews with the people who were there and witnessed the birth of the kittens.
Agency: As the agency I would get interviews of the people who witnessed the birth explaining what happened and what it was like, I would alos have pictures of Tilly before the kittendsand now after the kittens, pictures of her when she actually was feeding and with the kittens with videos, and pictures of Murphy the dog involved, The agency would then mingle together all of the videos, images and interviews in a random order.
